I will have to see if my local library has that book. I use that method sometimes (didn't know it was a "real" diet method, though.) I use mustard instead of mayo, stopped drinking sodas years ago, stopped putting butter in my hot cereals, etc. It cuts a lot of calories. Now I need to stop giving in to my sugar cravings! Lol. (Maybe this book has a hint for that too?????) I would love to read it just for the info. It sounds interesting.

I'm reading a book called "Lose Weight Naturally" that has an interesting idea in it: instead of counting the calories that you eat in a day, they suggest counting how many calories you trim off of what you would usually eat. They show how simple it is to trim off, say, 300 calories by just giving up 1 Tblsp of mayo, 1 pat of butter, one soda, and a half cup of potato salad. (I'm just giving an example from memory, not quoting the book) anyway, I think I am going to try that. emoticon

Let me know if that works for you. I haven't yet been successful burning a DVD.

hey, I was just thinking that we could save the videos on a DVD and then play them in a dvd player..... I'll have to try that.

yeah, that can be a problem. When I get my exercise room set up it won't have a computer, so I'm planning to put in a small tv from the good will and a DVD or video player. then I can use DVDs or videos. I have Videos of Richard simmons.

I might put the Wii up there too, since I like to use it a lot for the exercises.

OR, if you have a burner, you could possibly burn the exercises you want from spark people onto a DVD but you'd probably have to hit play after each one so the next one would play. at the very least.
