Healthy for My Long Hual
Three weeks away from my 39th birthday, I find myself looking realistically at the goals I've always associated with turning 40. I have dabbled at some, worked to achieve others, and ignored a few. Three weeks away from my 39th birthday, I find myself looking realistically at the goals I've always associated with turning 40. I have dabbled at some, worked to achieve others, and ignored a few. The big picture is getting to the weight, activity level, and overall health and fitness where I want to live the rest of my life. Over the last year, I have become a runner again and love the sport even more than I did in my teenage years. I eat much cleaner and feel better with natural foods fueling my body. This year, my focus is sensible weight loss without impulsive self-sabotage. I've got a good foundation and a solid focus, and I'm ready to work to my goal.

My Goals:
Run 4 days each week Track calorie intake daily Adjust activity, eating, and rest patterns as needed to achieve my goal weight
My Program:
Ending December 2012, I will establish routines with consistent exercise and food tracking using the built-in tools SparkPeople provides based on my goals. As the year progresses and I adjust, I'll adjust my program too.

Other Information:
I'd like to begin swimming regularly and practicing yoga in 2013 too. I'm not sure how I will work them in to my schedule at this time, but my current gym membership provides opportunities for both. That will be part of my challenge this year.
