Hi I'm Ronda but the majority of my online friends know me as Ro. I have been on a weight loss journey for a few years. I started at 259.9 lbs. I worked hard for about 2 years and lost 97 lbs. My life took some turns and I have to admit that I hit a pothole the size of Texas and I am here once again. I will be fabulous by 40! (Less than a year away)
Challenges are many but I am tough and can do this.
LONG hours with a LONG commute
Nice odd number but then again normal is just a setting on your dryer.
217- start (01/16/2012)
154 - Goal?
Low fat, low carb, corn free, soyfree, no processed foods 1550 calories per day. maxium
My mantra: It only takes a little SPARKLE to shine!
I live in Glasgow, Ky with my husband (when he is home...truck driver), our 20 year old son, his wife, our Boston Terriers, Shih tzu, and Pit Bull (the Pit is our Trucker lady though.). I work full time, with LONG hours at a desk job (2 hour daily commute and 12 hour shift).
I read a lot and I do mean a lot! I work 12 hour shifts and if we are not bogged down busy, I can complete an entire book in my 12 hour shift. I am very sad to report that lately we have been bogged down and it is taking me over a month to finish books now.

On June 18th 2010 I wrote a blog about what I was feeling. Today I re-read it and then I read your comment, in part- " LOVE yourself now, just as you are but work on making yourself better, better by being the person you visualize yourself being and then you will only LOVE yourself more." I just wanted to come here, to tell you thank you. I'm sorry that I didn't understand before what you were trying to telling me back then. But I think I do now. So, thank you very much. I dunno if you're still getting on here, but I was gone for awhile but now I've found my way back. In search of reigniting my inspiration, I've begun reading my blogs again from 5 years ago. What you may not know is that in 2011 I got sober and started taking care of myself and my family and my whole life! I lost all the excess weight and became a manager, things seemed to be wonderful for me for awhile. But since I didn't take this advice truly to heart, it didn't stick. But thank goodness I blogged through it all. Utilizing these blogs and all that I did learn, while seeing what I couldn't before, I'm hoping to bring myself to a better place. But this time I'm hoping to stay there. If you're still coming to Sparkpeople.com I hope we can continue to encourage one another.

Happy Easter one day early...too hard not to get excited about such a great day.
Wishing you only the greatest of everything. Hope this spring is the time to reach those goals, get closer or to start again.
Watch out because I am back and ready to run, walk, cycle and do whatever it takes to meet my goals. What about you?

Thanks for stopping by my page to say Hi. Seems like so much has been happening that my motivation to "Spark," let alone exercise has disappeared. But who knows, here I am back today and actually rode my stationary bike... could be hope yet!

Even once you "graduate" from team 30 somethings with 50-99 pounds to lose, whether through age or weight loss, you are always welcome to stay. We have people with less to lose, more to lose, girls in their 20s who relate better to those in their 30s, and women in their 40s who graduated but love the team. You won't be a "geezer" until you're eligible for team 50 somethings.
