I Need This...

Wow...what I promised wouldn't happen, did. After several months of making great progress I let my life get out of control and I didn't take care of myself.

I managed to lose 15 lbs so far and over the last two months I've gained 4 of those back and lost a ton of overall fitness. Having a crazy job, flying home to take care of a hospitalized sister, and ignoring good advice have all added up to today. I know I can't continue to ignore what I know I'm capable of.

In more positive news, over the last couple of months I've run my very 1st 5K and participated in Toronto's City Chase (6 hours of running with a backpack!). I'm signed up for my 1st 10K this fall, more adventure races, and I got a yoga pass.

Fitness Round 2 begins!!

If there's anyone in Toronto, Canada who wants to get together for a walk, jog, skate, chat, or Scrabble session just let me know. I'm up for meeting some people who are on the same path as I am.

My Goals:
- To fit into the clothes I bought over the last few weeks. (I guess online shopping is good for motivation.)

- To get into a healthy weight range.

- To stop being ashamed of my body.

My Program:
- Checking in with Spark everyday.

- Walking and running outside.

- Tracking my food and water intake as closely as possible.

- Trying to stay positive.

Personal Information:
- Toronto, Ontario

- Slave to two adorable kitties

- In love with crosswords, board games, movies, & The Amazing Race.

Other Information:
The number of pounds I lose doesn't really mean a lot to me, I just want to be healthier and fit into that red dress I bought. : )

I'm not trying to be skinny; that's just not what my body is made for. I want to be strong. I want to be fit. I want to be healthy.

I played sports, worked on a farm, and had physical jobs as a child and as a teen. Now that I'm in my 20s and I'm living in the city I've noticed that I've become sedentary. I've got to get outdoors more.
