Hi,
I am a 40 year old mother, of 2 wonderful children, who has been overweight for about 15 years now. I have missed out on doing special things, due to being so fat and lazy, and not controlling my eating habits. I am changing that for the better.

I am going to lose this extra baggage that I have been carrying around for so long. I started this journey on Jan 9th 2007. I'm not looking for a fast, easy fix to this weight loss, but I want to change how I eat and think about food. I'm not going to use food to 'make me feel better' anymore. Because in reality, when I would finish 'making myself feel better', I always would feel worse. I have lost 25 lbs so far, but that is just the beginning!

I also quit smoking. I made that life change on Aug 28th 2006. If you need to quit smoking and want a great website to visit I would recommend Quitnet. Wonderful website!

My Goals:

I am going to do this. I have the determination and will power to change my life and my poor lifestyle habits. Right now, I am monitoring my intake of food and calories.

    Hey Lady! How are you doing today? I just wanted to check in with you and see how you are doing. Boy Scout Camp was a blast. I think I walked at least 15 miles the entire week. Man, was it a challenge with all the hills. The heat didn't help much either. Drank a lot of water though.

    It's time to get back to it. We do have that challenge to work on.

    Welcome to the Christian Living group. Congratulations on quitting smoking! January 14, 2007 was my 10 year anniversary of being smoke free. I smoked two packs a day menthol. Had quit several times and started again. I finally asked God to make the smell and taste of cigarettes nauseating to me. He took me at my word, and now I get sick everytime I have to be around anyone who is smoking. I LOVED to smoke and I know that it is nothing short of a miracle that God took that desire away from me. I will be praying for you.

    Ski~ WELCOME to MN fat to fit team! Congratulations on taking the first of many steps to taking back control of your life! I too quit smoking about 5yrs ago for me though - I was a 3pk/day smoker. My best advice is to find something to do with your hands that doesn't involve food! You've already hooked up with some great teams so your off to a great start.
