At 5 ft tall, I realized that I really needed to get off this diet roller coaster when I hit 177 lbs! I have clothes in my closet of every size, yet never have anything to wear! I have lost 31 pounds since I found SparkPeople in 2008, but never really made the most of the program. Now that I have been on a perpetual plateau for the last 6 months, I decided to really DO IT! So, I'm back, and this time, its for me, it's healthy, and its forever!

My Goals:
To truly be the slowest loser, and maintain healthy habits that I will keep for life. I am in this for the long haul. My goal weight is 132-125.

My Program:
I track my food religiously. I have a hard time eating enough protein, so I really try to watch that. Exercise??My first spark streak is to MOVE 10 minutes daily!Still having difficulty with that!

I was 54 when I joined SparkPeople and 56 when I came back and started my Spark Program, starting with Stage One. This is a one day at a time program, but if you do the SparkPeople Program Steps, it really does work. I am terribly average, it's the SP program that is extraordinary.

I found logging my foods in the Nutrition Tracker helped me to lose 90 lbs in 16 months! I started at 210 and went to 120. I am 5'1.5" short, lol.

I hung clothing that was too small on my closet door and every time I would get discouraged I would try them on. Week by week they started fitting! That kept me motivated.

Welcome aboard, we really are all in the same boat! Sometimes we can sail right along but sometimes we have to be rowing like crazy!

You can make it happen! SparkPeople really does work!
