Getting Older But Getting Better

Hi;

My name is Bev and I'm origanally from Colorado. I live in Kansas now. I love the mountains and miss them terribly.

I am dealing with HBP and need to drop 30 lbs. at least, permanatly. It's been an up and down thing over the years. But I keep trying. I'm looking forward to meeting more people here and getting back on track. I just want to feel better.

Sorry i didn't get back to you before today......you asked about my picture.
The short version is this: had a 150+ year old tree that developed dutch elm disease. Hated to just chop it down so we found some one to carve a tree spirit into it. We are just so pleased with how it turned out and glad as least part of that old tree is still with us.
Glad to hear you are going to have a full weekend.........not glad about the funerals. The auction sounds like fun and the program........well you just can't miss that yearly outing. I'm sure you will do the BEST that you can with your food selections........you may even surprise your self....just make sure you track all the food. The more I track the more aware of the foods I am eating.
Enjoy your weekend.........stay healthy and we'll chat again soon. emoticon

Hi Bev, read a thread where you said your daughter got engaged......congrats !
As far as your working/eating. is it possible to cook on the weekends? if so cook up a couple of extras and you can have them during the week. Can you plan out some healthy foods and than prepackage them for lunches during the week? Low fat cheese and whole wheat crackers, PB and a sliced apple (could slice it up at your desk) Celery stick with low fat cream cheese. Home made trail mix.............add a small can of V8 juice and some water and your good to go...........also grapes (frozen) or not. hummus and crackers........
Hope this helps a little. If you're not liking any of these, contact me and maybe I could come up with some other ideas........really don't know your likes or dislikes.....Have a good day.

Hi Bev, Sorry to hear tha tyour Curves has changed hands. The one I bought was very poorly managed by two young ladies with no interest in it whatsoever. One of their mothers had bought it for her daughter. What a shame that they didn't realise what they had, but was a bonus for me that they wanted to sell. It's been kind of scary. Not much of a business when I first bought it and I quit a very good paying job to buy it and run it, so am glad it is working out. I sure hope you get feeling better and get back to normal soon! Take care!
