My Goals:
I've been working on maintaining my weight for almost two years. I still struggle up and down with the same 5-6 pounds, so I have to be pretty mindful and watch myself.

My Program:
I abstain from sugar. Being sugar-free isn't for everyone; but for me, it helps tame a food addiction. I also run.

Personal Information:
I'm a teacher from Washington state. I'm the youngest of 5 kids and I was born and raised in the Seattle area.

Other Information:
This is a quote I really like (not sure who said it): "Things go much better when you see motivation as the ability to give yourself the chance to make conscious decisions and take responsibility for these choices. Therefore, the main "enemy" of motivation is the tendency to see yourself as the hapless victim of forces (or urges) over which you have no control."

I am also a sugar whore!
2 1/2 yrs ago i got real with myself.
My family and friends don't understand but that has not swayed me. My husband has given up encouraging me to "just have one piece" and now gives me a delicious bowl of fruit for my birthday..that is a gift.

I was trying to find your Health Magazine article online, but no such luck. Read about you in SP's Success section, amazing! I added you as a friend, a motivational reminder that this can be done! Thank you for inspiring us who are struggling at the moment! emoticon

Many many congrats for sticking with the system and getting such amazing results from it. You are a real inspiration to lots of people like me who are just starting out, have a considerable amount of weight to lose, and are looking for hope. Best wishes from Scotland. Colin
