I joined Spark People on December 25, 2010 with excitement, enthusiasm, and determination.

In one year I had made it half way to my goal weight.
Some of the enthusiasm wore off but not the determination.
I had learned so much that I will use the rest of my life.. healthier eating habits, proportion sizes, exercise routines, sleeping requirements etc.

The weight loss has been slow but I am thankful for the healthier habits I have learned.
So.. I go on... full of hope.
My goal is to reach my goal weight while maintaining the good health and eating habits I have learned here.

A new year begins. I came close to reaching my goal weight but then became slack in doing what I know will take off and keep off those extra pounds. Excuses are no substitute for exercise and watching size proportions!
So.. I begin again a new year with hope of reaching the desired goal.

My Goals:
2010- lose 32 pounds:
8-2010 16 pounds lost.

2013 lose those last lbs!

2015 take off those pounds!!!
Increase exercise time
Think positive thoughts

Make healthy eating a habit, not a diet plan.

My Program:
Strength and/or cardio
5 days a week at least 30 min.

Stay aware of daily food and water intake.

Drink 8 glasses of water a day.

Personal Information:
I live in Wisconsin and have been married to my husband and best friend for 46 years. I have 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. Oh yes a grand dog and a grand kitty too!

Other Information:
I love music and play piano, keyboard, accordian and auto harp.
I enjoy flowers and nature.
I enjoy biking and hiking.
