Thanks for sharing your good experience you had with carpal tunnel syndrome surgery. I am unable to have it done until I have enough FMLA time built up again in June of next year because I used so much of it this year for my knee replacement. I have only 2 weeks and 2 days left and the doctor said I would need 3 weeks off and if I am gone that long my employer is not required by law to "hold my job for me." With the economy the way it is, I know I can probably hold off until then by getting cortisone shots and wearing braces especially at night and for driving. I know the surgery will be a lot easier than the thumb joint replacement surgeries I had.

No, no, no... please don't think that it had anything negative to do with you. I enjoy talking to you and helping in any way that I can. It makes me feel like I can do something positive with my bad experiences. Also, coming up with encouragement, support or solutions for other people, sometimes helps me come up with some for myself. Please don't worry about that - I enjoy our conversations.

Thank you for your input on my blog. I have thought about medication, but I've tried the vast majority and they haven't seemed to help. If anything, I often have very bad side effects that make things worse. I see my doctor at least monthly and we review it each time.

And you're right that the past never leaves you and it can be triggered easily, making a bad situation worse. I am just at the point where I need and want to move forward and I have to figure out what is not working that needs to be let go and what will work that I need to try.

Thanks for your feedback honey, I really do appreciate it!
