Army Life

I love our life! I can't imagine living any other way. sometimes I am envious of family and friends who have been in the same house for a decade or more. I guess we just like to be on the move. With teenagers and a toddler in the house, we never lack for action. I am trying to finish my BSN so that I can check a long term goal off my list. I earned my LPN license in the Army and can't wait until I can get back in my boots as an RN!

I can't imagine where I would be without the military. The Army has provided me with the security I never had as a child, with an education, and of course a wonderful husband and three great kids! It isn't always easy being a soldier's wife. It probably isn't always easy being a civilian's wife either. Anyway, who can resist a man in uniform...NOT ME! ;-)

My Goals:
1. fit in single digit sized clothing
2. go from mirror avoidance to narcissism.
3. learn to control my cravings for dessert.
4. Take salsa classes while I am in Florida

My Program:
To meet my SP goals I am drinking enough water to make fish jealous! I have also implemented a family fitness program where we alternate activities: run, bike and pool. I made this "mandatory fun" so I could get time with my teenagers who would otherwise be engrossed with video games or their friends or a combination of the two! I also do the strength training program three days a week.

Personal Information:
I have three full time children and one part-time. I am a full time student and feel extremely grateful to live in a city with so many colleges and universities. Even though Florida is rather expensive, we hope to make the best of this tour by exploring as much of Florida as possible.

Other Information:
After the Army moved us from NC to AZ i was really depressed. I gained about 40 lbs. After Natalie was born, it just seems like it has been extremely difficult to lose the weight. Now that we are in FL, I have the opportunity to complete some really longstanding goals, including my BSN.

Hi, there! I'm a new member to the Army Wife board and I noticed that you're a new addition too. (I also took notice to the fact that there hasn't been much activity on there lately!) I thought maybe a bunch of us newbies could change that....perhaps we can even start a challenge or other activities to motivate us!
