Damage Undone, Time to move on

When I graduated from college I weighed about 190-200 lbs. I moved into an overnight job, and gained 55-60 pounds. There is a picture here on my SparkPeople taken as a junior in college, the one in the blue shirt and white skirt. I posted that as an "I miss this" picture.

That year, I joined weight watchers. 17 pounds sounded like so much to lose to hit my '10% loss' goal. Now, after having gained and lost 60, I wore that shirt again. I was so excited it fit...I've undone the ...

That year, I joined weight watchers. 17 pounds sounded like so much to lose to hit my '10% loss' goal. Now, after having gained and lost 60, I wore that shirt again. I was so excited it fit...I've undone the damage of a few years of abuse on my poor body.

It's time to move on. Time to take my journey and continue, where I should have when I started.

January 1st I rededicated myself to ME. I've lost 25 pounds since New Years, and it's time to keep going. My friends, coworkers, family and boyfriend are fully supportive. I regularly hear how well I've done -- but it doesn't make me complacant. It makes me go 'oh yea? Watch This!'

My biggest offsets at this point are still finding time to go to the gym, as well as making sure that I grocery shop weekly for healthy on-hand options.

I WILL do it!

Sounds like you're having a great time and enjoying the holiday!

Mine is going well. I don't think I ate too much yesterday. I had my breakfast after my 8K and then we only had one meal, so if I think that what I ate was lunch, snack, and dinner, I think I'm ok!

Ehh, I like my chocolate. I realized that the dairy/soy free chocolate is too sweet for me (it's semi sweet). And it gives me really bad gas! It must be the cane sugar..aka HFCS. Tricky people. And it's the first ingredient! But the only others are non-dairy cocoa butter (all cocoa butter is non dairy...) and non alcoholic chocolate liqueur. So it isn't like it's BAD for you. It's just too sweet for me.

At least I can enjoy some 90%...yummm (sarcasm). Lindt makes 85% without soy, but my grocery store only sells the 90%. I don't know why.
