Since then I have been working my plan - eating a carbohydrate-controlled diet that I worked on with a nutritionist, increasing my exercise, and monitoring my blood sugar. I'm making progress, losing weight (in 15-pound increments so I don't overwhelm myself) and getting my blood sugar under good control. I'm determined to make this permanent and can use all the help I can get to do that.

“Welcome every morning with a smile. Look on the new day as another special gift from your Creator,
another golden opportunity to complete what you were unable to finish yesterday. Be a self-starter.
Let your first hour set the theme of success and positive action that is certain to echo through your entire day.
Today will never happen again. Don't waste it with a false start or no start at all. You were not born to fail.”

Hi Meredith, how have you been doing? I am okay, but I need to step it up and start doing BETTER. This cold weather is so de-motivating (even though I hardly go outside, lol.) Hope your weekend is off to a good start.
Hugs,
Pixie

Yes, thankfully, I am in Cali, and took a nice walk around the library today. I was getting cabin fever from getting over an illness. I am sure glad I am not in the cold! My nephew moved to Kentucky to go to school there. I told him that bad winters were rare there. Well, he has had two bad winters thus far and has been there two years!

So proud of the guy. He is a good nephew.

Have a happy Friday!
