The picture that makes up the background of my page is from a trip to Newport, RI in June of 2010. I was 260 lbs (at my heaviest) and was self conscious the entire week. I felt so fat. I look at pictures from that trip, and I don't like the way they make me feel.
Weight has been a battle for me for my entire life, and I honestly don't remember a time when I was at a "normal" weight. I was a fat kid, a fatter teenager, and an ever fatter adult. At 32, I am realizing more and more how quickly time goes by, and I don't want to spend more time like this. If I'm lucky, I still have over half my life to live; it is not too late to change everything now.
I first started Spark in July of 2010, and realized how much potential it could have in changing my life. Then, I just sorta stopped. I picked it up again in January of 2011 and haven't looked back yet. I am losing slowly, but I am losing it for good!
I love life, and want to love living it.
My goal is to be 160 lbs or lighter on 8/1/2016.
Really just paying close attention to nutrition, relearning how to eat, and trying to learn to like exercise.
I am 36, married to an extremely supportive and sweet man, and live in the Boston area.
No human kids yet.
I'm a pretty big dork, and like to amuse myself by cracking stupid jokes.
Looking for support and friends on here, and am a pretty happy, friendly person. Oh, and I LOVE giving advice when asked. :)
