I've been battling my weight my whole adult life. It's partly genetics and partly being inconsistant. I lost 50lbs in my early twenties and went down to 145 (my lowest that I could remember). I've been battling my weight my whole adult life. It's partly genetics and partly being inconsistant. I lost 50lbs in my early twenties and went down to 145 (my lowest that I could remember). But, it was a crash diet that didn't last. I gained all the weight back over the last several years. I think I was daydreaming that I was at a healthy weight and could eat anything I wanted again. Well, I've learned as you get older that becomes less and less of a reality. It's the consistancy part that I haven't been able to stick to. I'll excersise 5 days a week and eat well but it'll last 2 or 3 months till I fall off the wagon again. I just had a baby a year ago, my little boy Murray, and am committed to getting myself back on track. I'm approching this as a lifestyle change. I want to be active and healthy for my children and for myself. I feel tired, sluggish and just not myself anymore. I know it'll be a difficult, long road. But, I'm sure I can do this with the help of the Sparkpeople community. I've always wanted to go to feel comfortable in a bathing suit at a beach. So, I've promised myself when I loose all the weight I'll treat myself to a trip to an island destination! Recommitted to getting healthy and loosing weight 5/16/11 Goals and rewards for the coming months: June goal: 192 (workout dvds for home) DONE! July goal: 182 (new workout clothes) DONE! August goal: 174 (free weight set and bench) September goal: 164 (juicer) October goal: 156 (cross country skis for winter!) November goal: 148 (?) December goal: 138 (?) January goal: 130 (personal training sessions to get ripped!) Febuary goal: 120 (trip to the islands!)

My Goals:
I'd like to make working out and eating well a daily routine for LIFE! I'm hoping to hit my goal weight around January '12!
My Program:
I try to do cardio at least 5 days a week. With some circuit training at least 3 days a week.
Personal Information:
I've been "chubby" my whole life and I'm sick of it! I've never hated my body but I've never been content with it either. I lost about 50lbs when I was in my early 20's and kept it off for years with regular excercise...I started gaining weight back once I moved to Minnesota where people aren't as body concious as my old hometown of LA and winter can make you sit on the couch a bit too much... I've watched friends of mine yo yo like myself and I'm really inspired to stick with it for life this time!
Other Information:
I love music! Big indie rock nerd and I love downtempo and minimal electronica. Arcade Fire, Glasvegas, Lykke Li, The Kills, Theophilus London, TV On The Radio, Toro Y Moi, Twin Shadow, Fleet Foxes, Givers, Little Dragon, Cinematic Orchesta, K&D, Roots Manuva, James Blake...I could go on and on love music!
