My Goals:
I have realized that right now I don't have an 'ideal' weight. I want to lose 24 lbs. (to get to 200) then set another goal for myself. (DONE - 3/29/09)

Jeff and I have gotten married and we are starting our gym membership today. My goals are to:
- Track my food daily
- Work out 5x per week
- Maintain a healthy lifestyle
- See 170 by July 30

My Program:
Right now it's just to get active and stay active!

Group classes: 2x/week
Cardio: 2x/week
Strength Training: 2-3x/week

I eat with in 1200-1500 calories most days, but do have 'splurge' days where I just don't care. I have found that this is the only way for me to stick with it and stay successful.


Personal Information:
I have PCOS and have lost weight before, but now I'm really struggling. I would love to meet other women who have the same struggles and are willing to share their successes.

Other Information:
Jeff and I just got married and we moved across the country from Wisconsin to Montana. We are looking forward to suprising our families by coming home healthier and happy!

You're welcome on the info. I'm a personal trainer and PCOS became a problem for me 2 years ago when I injured my back and couldn't exercise for 6 months. I've always leaned towards a "heavier, muscular" build, but figured it was the good old German and farmer stock in my DNA! Little did I know that I was ticking time bomb. The weight loss has been a struggle, but taking Metformin has jump started things. I try post and help out other women because there is SO much information out there and lots of it is wrong!

My week was about the same as yours. Being sick its been real hard to exercise. I plan to shovel today, so I will burn some calories. Zumba resumes on the 5th, so i am not sure what I will do to keep up with the calorie burn. However they are adding Zumba to Thursday nights and the Northeast Y has a class on Sunday. I figure if I do Zumba 4 times a week, I have to lose at least 50 lbs a week. emoticon

Thanks for the kudos! I really needed it after my not-so-healthy week last week. But back on track. Keep up the good work. It took me a while to realize that there were actual changes with my body. I think we get used to seeing how we always look in the mirror that once we change ourselves physically, it takes us forever to realize it. Thanks again and keep up your hard work!!!
