Hello! I feel I have lost and gained 500 pounds over my life time. I lose some I gain some, I lose some more and I gain some more. My heaviest was 220, my lowest (in my adult life) was about 120. My biggest success was losing 75. My biggest regret is gain all but 8 back. I blame it on health issues but in reality it was just lack of motivation and self control. The health issues did contribute a little since I had anxiety and when my heart rate rose I freaked out, and I had chronic headaches but I also wasn't eating as well. I am a work in progress and I always will be. I am not a failure bc I have yet to give up on myself. I have faith in me and what I can do. I may fall off the wagon and lose and gain but in the end I know I can make my goals. I will do this. I have to. I want to be around for my husband, kids, and grandkids. I need to do it to find me again. The me who was bad a** and kicked a@@.. The me who was motivated and wouldn't let anything stop her. The me I know I am deep down inside. The me who is confident and sure of herself. Not the 200+, insecure, lacking self confidence me. I may never hit my weight loss goal but I will work hard to reach the lowest weight I can.

My Goals:

-1-2 pounds a week
-Eat more vegtables
- eat 3 meals and 2 healthy snacks everyday
-Be more active (walk 3-4 times a week, play outside more with the kids)
-Not diet but make healthy food and lifestyle choices
- When I near my goal talk to a dietician on how to ease back into "normal healthy eating" to maintain the weight loss
-Become a Zumba fitness instructor
-Inspire some one to make healthy life chages


My Program:
-I am trying to eat around 1200 -1500 calories a day.
-To walk or do cardio for atleast 30 minutes 3-4 days a week.
-Track my food daily
- Drink atleast 64 ozs of water every day.

    I've been eating 1500-1800 a day but it really varies. I'm still working out. I've found that I can maintain my weight even if I'm not working out as long as I keep my calories in check. It's a little harder to have self control at this point but it's nothing to fear!

    Hi Mel!
    I did have my baby boy on March 13. I've been trying to get back on track every since but it's been so hard. I do good a couple days and then the old habits kick in strongly. I gained 30 pounds while preggo and lost only 15-20 of them so far. I have to get back to moving more and really get strict on my eating.

    You seem to have been doing wonderful though! 168 lbs is just amazing. I haven't seen the 160's since i was about 20 years old.. like forever ago!!!

    I don't come here often anymore, i use another site called loseit.com. But i would love if we communicated a little more. Your success would help me greatly. If you want add me on FB.     I didn't get to do Zumba Thursday because Arianna was sick so she didn't go to daycare during the day which meant that I had to get my work time in after she went down. Oh well...Tuesday...

    I'm so glad that you had fun at your Zumbathon!!! I think it is a great goal to work towards becoming an instructor!
