It's not a race to get there first but a slow and steady pace to the finish!
Hello! I think it's time I updated this! I joined spark people 3 1/2 years ago. I joined because I was turning 30 and wanted to get pregnant within 6 months. The first time I successfully lost (and than gained back) 40 pounds, had a beautiful baby girl (on halloween 2010). I felt like I failed myself. I lost 40 pounds only to gain it back. The weight I gained back ws not pregnancy weight. I lost 20- 25 pounds with in 5 days of giving birth. I than gained 30 pounds. 15 months ago I said I ...
15 months ago I said I lacked the motivation to lose weight. Well that has changed. Since late last June I have lost 75 pounds. It has been slower than before but steady. I did not realize how unhappy I was in my skin. Now I look at myself and sometimes don't recongize the person I have become. I have been told that I glow. I now LOVE having my picture. I have muscle definition. I have taught my children how to be active. My 4 1/2 now asks to walk to the park instead of drive. That to me is one of my boggest accomplishments. It's not the number on the scale. It is that I have tuaght my children that exercise is fun not work. I have led by example. I am trying to healthy role model to my children. I do not want them to have body issues and I realized that I needed to get over my body issues. I am happy with the way the look. I would like a smaller number on the scale and a smaller clothes size, but if I do not lose any more pounds I will be satisfied with who I have become and I know that I have the tools to stay this weight and size. I know I will gain and I know I will lose it again. I am not a modle I am just a better healthier version of my old self. If I can do it so can anyone else!
