I am 43 years old with two teenage daughters.

I have been over weight since High school and I've had years of trying every diet out there. My weight has fluctuated through the years between 150 - 200 lbs. Now I am in my forties and realize this is not going to get easier and if I want to be active and healthy for when grandchildren come along, I need to do this. My goal is to be consistent and stay away from fads that never work long term. I am praying this site will help me ...

My Goals:
I would like to lose 80 lbs.



My Program:
I am going to track my food take with the Sparkpeople food diary.

I am going to limit the amount of unhealthy Fats and Carbs from my diet without becoming obsessive about it.

I plan to use whole wheat products vs. white flour products when possible.

I plan to use olive oil instead of veg. oil and butter when possible.

I also plan to increase my vegetable intake to at least 4-5 servings a day

Howdy! Did you have a great week? I just wanted to stop by and check on you before the weekend. I was disappointed in only losing a half pound this week, but instead of throwing in the towel, Iím more motivated than ever!

You may have noticed on my weight loss journey that Iíve added bike riding to my fitness. I had to wipe the dust off it, and drag it out of itís hiding place, but I actually rode 12 miles the first time out! Have you ever heard of OVER DOING IT? I was so sore, and I even have a big olí butt seat! Live and learn!

The weather is finally cooperating and hubby and I played tennis yesterday! I hope you have a fun weekend doing the things you love and getting a good workout at the same time! Stick with it, you can do it!!

WOW, look at you go! Down three and a half pounds! SUPER!

Tomorrow is the beginning of a new month! Donít be an April Fool, stay focused and keep logginí your food.

The sun is starting to feel warmer, the days are longer and we can get out there and do so many things that will help us lose. So letís do it! Stay motivated. Picture yourself in that bathing suit, no not that one!, the new one youíll have to buy because you look so smokiní hot!!

Look how the time has flown by since youíve joined Spark. Just keep on keepiní on, one bite at a time!
