I am 43 years old with two teenage daughters. I have been over weight since High school and I've had years of trying every diet out there. My weight has fluctuated through the years between 150 - 200 lbs. Now I am in my forties and realize this is not going to get easier and if I want to be active and healthy for when grandchildren come along, I need to do this. My goal is to be consistent and stay away from fads that never work long term. I am praying this site will help me ...

My Goals:
I would like to lose 80 lbs.
My Program:
I am going to track my food take with the Sparkpeople food diary. I am going to limit the amount of unhealthy Fats and Carbs from my diet without becoming obsessive about it. I plan to use whole wheat products vs. white flour products when possible. I plan to use olive oil instead of veg. oil and butter when possible. I also plan to increase my vegetable intake to at least 4-5 servings a day
