Welcome to my page! My weight loss journey started about 4 years ago after the birth of my son. I was fortunate to be able to join a Weight Watchers program through work and lost about 25 pounds in 2006. Unfortunately, I let a way too stressful life get the best of me and over the next couple of years I gained back what I had lost plus some. I'm not paying attention to a scale for now, but I am trying to eat healthier and get moving! Life is still stressful and chaotic... but I am trying to take control of my health in the chaos!

My Goals:
My goal is to get to a healthy weight and to do a better job of taking care of myself.

I'm not trying to watch the scale right now... but I am trying to eat healthier and get moving. Right now I have set a goal to walk 365 miles in 2010. That's about a mile a day... here's to consistency!

My Program:
Trying to average out to at least a mile a day and walk 365 miles in 365 days this year!

Shel Silverstein wrote this wonderful poem "What if ..." about our fears. If I lose weight, what if no one treats me differently? what if I still lack confidence? what if I still don't feel like I fit in? What if I'm still invisible? As you say, losing weight doesn't solve any of those issues. But I think our fears about those issues might be part of why so many of us regain the weight we lose. I've been there -- lost 105 pounds and regained it all +10.
