Melme's Journey
I'm a 20-something teacher that's about to make some big life changes and I need a body to match! I've been overweight since third grade or so and the pounds just gradually increased over time until I was fed up and decided to take charge of my life! It may be slow going, but I'm in this for the long haul! This is not a diet. This is not a fad. I'm done letting the weight hold me back!

My Goals:
Short Term: - At least 8 cups of water a day - At least 30 minutes of cardio 4 times a week - Some form of exercise at least 10 minutes a day six days a week - Stay within nutrition goals at least 5 days a week Mid Term: - Lose enough weight to get cleared by my doctor to start a running program. - Couch to 5k - Reach 1st target weight of 200 lbs Long Term: - Reach 2nd target weight of 175 - Make running a part of my regular exercise regimen
My Program:
Education - A big part of my program is learning about health and wellness and understanding how the body works. Knowledge is power! Moderation -There are no "forbidden" foods, but if I make smarter choices, I can enjoy anything (sometimes). Motivation - Celebrating every victory and shrugging off every misstep. - Staying involved here on SP, keeping myself accountable and spreading the spark.
