One Bite At A Time
My name is Kelly and I'm 25 years old. 2005: Began Weight Watchers for the first time and had much success. I lost about 25 lbs and was happy, but after 2 years, the weight crept back on. I went on Weight Watchers on and off during those 2 years. 2007: Went on a very expensive diet called Medical Weight Loss here in Michigan. I lost weight within 3 months. I went on Weight Watchers on and off during those 2 years. 2007: Went on a very expensive diet called Medical Weight Loss here in Michigan. I lost weight within 3 months. Went from 184 down to 156 in that short period of time, but I grew tired of eating nothing and the same thing everyday so I stopped and within one month...I ballooned to 185 again...ugh! FAD DIETS DO NOT WORK PEOPLE!! 2008-2009: I struggled with counting calories and weight watchers over and over again not giving my all like I should have. I grew obsessed about weight and the scale did not move. The lowest I got in 2008 was 179 lbs and then I stopped. 2010: I got married, lost a good job due to me getting whooping cough and I gained 35 lbs due to depression. My background photo is when I was at 205 lbs. I would LOVE to be that again. 2011 flew by and it was a year of trying to find myself. I'm getting there slowly, but I need help. 2012: this is my year just to focus and stop saying it's ok to fail. As you can see, I'm an instant gratification kind of girl. I'm trying to reteach myself that it's okay to NOT lose weight fast. It's okay to take baby steps and learn to love yourself during the process. This is my story. UPDATE 4/16/13: I found out I had Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism in May of 2012. Even since then I've been on Synthroid. I have seen changes in my face and it's not as puffy anymore. I've maintained roughly the same 5 lbs up and down since exactly a year ago. I joined Planet Fitness and have been watching what I eat.

My Goals:
I would love to lose 5 lbs a month. I think that's steady and maintainable. I'd love to ultimately weigh 180 :)
My Program:
I am counting calories while incorporating some type of exercise into my day. I'm a very non-active person, so I'm taking things slow.
Personal Information:
I am 5'6" tall and I know I'm overweight. Technically, I'm obese according to the BMI statistics. I'm a certified teacher working at a Law Firm because there are NO teaching jobs here in Michigan. I also have PCOS. I was diagnosed after going off of birth control pills and wanted to conceive.
Other Information:
Weigh Ins: 2/19/12: 236.8 2/26/12: 235.0 Total: 1.8
