My Goals:
I want to lose 150 pounds, get off my blood pressure and diabetes medication, live a healthier life and DANCE again.

I have become a disaster - again. I need t0 find the motivation and stop this downward spiral

I will spend the next 10 months working toward my goal of 135 pounds which will be a total weight loss of 158 pounds. I will aim for 2 pounds/week weight loss to achieve this goal. My reward for reaching this goal will be a trip to NYC with my actress daughter.

My Program:
I am on a medically supervised Optifast rapid weight loss program through December 2011. Then the program slowly moves us to eating food in a healthy way. I have a pedometer and am striving to walk more every day. I am playing wii yoga, strength and aerobics each day and just got two chair exercise videos.

My meal plan includes healthy foods at an average of 1200 calories/day. My exercise plan includes 45-90 minutes daily of Wii & Chair exercise and 15-30 minutes walking.

Single working mother of a recent college graduate.



Other Information:
Reading mysteries is a great way to keep me from obsessing about food. Reading anything is my primary stress reducer.

I love the theater, film, travel, museums and reading.

Can't wait to be able to dance again

I’m on day 10 of changing my life and this is definitely a difficult journey. I am not a good decision maker and tend to opt for immediate gratification and comfort. I am struggling with making mindful decisions about the food I eat or don’t eat. I am not doing as well as I should be in that area although I have consistently gotten in exercise minutes each day. I was looking for quotes to motivate myself to think before making any decision and these two caught my eye. I think the messages they contain are both so important to us all!
I hope you are staying healthy and active as we enter this new year of new choices and new successes.
