I have always been an active person, but after having difficulties with my thyroid, I have struggled with my weight, coordination and energy levels. I WANT THOSE BACK!! Oh...and I'll get them!

My Goals:
My plan is to start strong, but it is something I can stick with!


* To have enough energy and coodination to keep up and do well with my dogs

* To better manage my arthritis

* To be confident, naked, in front of my DH

* To stabilize my sleep patterns

* To be able to walk into any store (other than Lane Byant) and pick out a stylish oufit (not somethingthat looks like my grandma's moomoo).

My Program:
As most programs encourage, I am hoping to make this more of a lifestye change. I'm tracking and adding new and different activities as well as making improvements on some of my other lifestyle habits (sleep being the big one). I also want to eat as nomally as possible. Rather than eating fat free or low fat items, I want to just eat less of those things, without eliminating them from my diet. Herein lies the challenge; what I find in my tracking is that if I am in my calorie range, I am often over in fat and under in both carbs and protein. Additional challenges are that I am a foodie and a condiment snob.

Personal Information:
I am checking in from sunny Southeastern Wisconsin...GO Brew Crew & Admirals!! Go Pack! I live with my husband and three VERY active dogs. My dogs are my life.

My job is not particularly active, but it can be pretty stressful. After 12 years there, I can still say that I love my job.

I find so much power in humor and music...either can turn my day around. Music is my long-time hobby.

* not chocolate ( I consider that a sweet)

IT'S CHEESE! IT'S CHEESE!! After all, this IS Wisconsin.

I do hafta admit that I am kinda a Diet Coke fiend, too. If the world went into famine tomorrow, I do believe I could survive on Diet Coke and cheese, if that is all there was.

I don't watch a lot of TV, but I LOVE Criminal Minds and Scandal (totally hooked). I am a World War buff and have been writing to a pen pal (snail mail and some email) for over 25 years. I sing with our local symphony, love to golf and watch hockey.
