I'm back. . .and tired of being fat!!!

I have really let my body go over the past few months. I seriously think I have been battling postpartum depression since the birth of my third child last Fall (2013). This has led to a lot of fast food binging, junk food, mountain dew addiction, and a lot of chocolate. . .a lot! I can't even imagine how many calories I have been eating. I probably don't really even want to know.

But now that I am working as a substitute secretary, getting out of the house and feeling ...

But now that I am working as a substitute secretary, getting out of the house and feeling productive again, I think I'm starting to get a spark back and ready to stop living such an unhealthy lifestyle. My husband is also making a huge switch by leaving his over-the-road truck driving job that he's had for 7 years (the whole time we've been married!!!) and going back to college. He already has a 2 year degree in business, and he's going to work towards a 4 year degree in an attempt at a good job that won't require him to be gone from his family the way trucking demands. So with his college tuition, we noticed it includes access to the excellent college rec center, where he can workout and swim and have a great time. But since campus is 30 minutes from home, and they don't have a daycare, I plan to instead, for me, join a local gym that's only 10 minutes away (and only a second from my daughter's dance school) that provides a free nursery service. I used to be addicted to the gym. . .that girl has been missing for several years now and it's time to find her! I can't even remember the last time I exercised. . .I don't even know the last time I took a walk! It's been really pitiful over here, folks, no joke.

I have been a member of Sparkpeople since June of 2006 and my weight has been as low as 158 and as high as 220 (non-pregnancy weight, that is) between now and then. I have always hated my body since I was a preteen, whether I was overweight or not (and that has fluctuated too many times to count in my life!). But I have spent the majority of my adulthood in obesity. It's time to stop that cycle. Now, I think a great weight on me is in the 160s range. At that weight I can generally wear size 8s and 10s and mediums in tops. And to me, that's a great size to be. I'm curvy around the hips so I'm never going to be one of those size 2 girls. And I don't necessarily want to be. I love to shop for super cute and trendy clothes, so I am looking forward to the day when I can stop worrying about disguising my obese body with clothing and instead focus on just being cute! :-)

I don't like vegetables. I rarely eat fruit. Not a big fan of whole grains. But I do love water. It's going to be a slow process because of these things, but I feel confident that I can do it and finally and reach a goal of sixty pounds lost by my 35th birthday on October 3, 2015. I'm going to fight for each pound lost, and I'm not going to give in and let each pound come back on and fluctuate all the time.

160 pounds still puts me at an overweight BMI, but I think because I have such muscular legs and curvy hips, it's a good healthy weight range for me. I am ready to feel confident, cute, and happy!

Hey chickie!! Congrats on the early arrival!!! He's so cute, I'm glad everyone is doing well :) only 2.5 weeks left here.... But baby is transverse so I'm not sure if she'll flip and I'll go into labor early, or I'll just have to be patient and wait until my scheduled date of nov 12. I'm doing ok, work is physically hard but weight gain has been good. Were also in the process of closing on our house next week.... Lots of stuff going on!!

As far as my tattoo goes the overcomer didn't originally come from the mandisa song however that song has become my theme song for my journey so its very fitting. I originally decided on overcomer because of a Jeremy camp song but the mandisa one fits it even more! :) love it!

Congratulations on your little man he is perfect! Thank you for your sweet comment on my pic....no worries I am not doing anything drastic to lose more weight. I'm doing what I always do staying in my range and working out. This may be where I'm suppose to be we will see. But I refuse to make changes I can't do forever so nothing crazy happening here. If I drop more I do and if I don't I don't I will just keep on keepin on :) thanks again!
