Welcome to my page! My name is Melissa and I am a stay-at-home mom to 3 beautiful kids: Emily, age 12, Trevor, age 2, and my newest, Tanner, was born October 4, 2013. My husband Brad is a truck driver and is over the road half the time, but when he's home we like to enjoy time as a family. I also recently started a new endeavor to help with expenses around here: I am now a Scentsy consultant. Want to order something? Here's my website: https://melissacurry.scentsy.us

I have been a member of Sparkpeople for over 8 years now and my weight has been as low as 158 and as high as 215 (non-pregnancy weight, that is). I have always hated my body no matter what my size. BUT I love to shop and pick out cute clothes. I always think "if I lose 'x' amount of lbs, this will look so much cuter!" But tonight I decided to stop doing this. To stop striving for something I'm not. To be happy in the body I'm in, so long as I'm moving and feeling good physically.

I'm getting too old to worry about what other people think of me. I'm 33, almost 34, and I've been worried about my size and shape since I was in elementary school. Even at an all-time low weight of 118 in high school, I was never happy with myself. Do you feel the same way? No matter what size you are, you still want to be a different size, or your body to be proportioned in a different way?

Well, I've just come to the conclusion that I just don't care anymore what a clothing size tag says or the number on the scale. I'm going to go shopping, dress my body in cute trendy clothes that fit, and be a happy mom and wife from this point forward. All that negativity can't be good for you, and it's probably taking years off of our lives. Whatever size or shape you are right this second, celebrate the woman (or man!) that you are and go buy you a cute new top or pair of jeans that make you feel good. Cut the tag out if you want to!

As for me, I'm still going to be working on getting into better shape. I haven't been exercising as much as I should be lately and I can tell. So that's my simple goal for now. . .execise to feel good, and stop worrying about calories and scales and clothing sizes.

It's time to celebrate my curves for what they are. Three kids and 33 years of life have made me the size and shape that I am today. And I will celebrate it instead of trying to hide it or change into something I'm not meant to be at this time. :-)

Hey chickie!! Congrats on the early arrival!!! He's so cute, I'm glad everyone is doing well :) only 2.5 weeks left here.... But baby is transverse so I'm not sure if she'll flip and I'll go into labor early, or I'll just have to be patient and wait until my scheduled date of nov 12. I'm doing ok, work is physically hard but weight gain has been good. Were also in the process of closing on our house next week.... Lots of stuff going on!!

As far as my tattoo goes the overcomer didn't originally come from the mandisa song however that song has become my theme song for my journey so its very fitting. I originally decided on overcomer because of a Jeremy camp song but the mandisa one fits it even more! :) love it!

Congratulations on your little man he is perfect! Thank you for your sweet comment on my pic....no worries I am not doing anything drastic to lose more weight. I'm doing what I always do staying in my range and working out. This may be where I'm suppose to be we will see. But I refuse to make changes I can't do forever so nothing crazy happening here. If I drop more I do and if I don't I don't I will just keep on keepin on :) thanks again!
