And welcome to my page! I'm hoping that my page will keep me accountable, but also inspire others. I'm here at SP to lose weight, but more importantly, change my eating habits and the way I view food. I'm learning it's about a life-style change, not a quick fad diet. It's a hard concept to put into practice, but I'm learning, and SP is helping me do that! Thank you!
To lose 6 pounds by May 16th, and run 15 miles a week.
I'm eating 1,200 calories on the days I don't exercise and 1,500 on the days I do. I'm trying to do cardio and strength training 5 days a week. Mostly running, but also some elliptical. I make myself do at least 3 miles on either machine for a total of 15 miles per week.
I'm from a small town in central Wisconsin. We have long, cold winters, which makes it hard to exercise outdoors. I have a love/hate relationship with running. I love how it makes me look and feel, but hate how hard it is to keep doing. Last year I suffered a leg injury from running, started dating my fiance, and just got burned out from running on a treadmill. I hadn't run in a year, and am slowly starting again. It's hard to stay motivated when running alone on a treadmill, but I do love how good it makes me feel mentally and physically. And a TV in front of the treadmill helps too!
My friends and family keep me sane! I work 60 hours a week, so when I have some free time, I really like to relax! Now I'll have to start "relaxing" at the gym. I love watching movies, reading, running, biking, board games, and surfing the internet for celebrity gossip. I also love Mexican food and a good micro beer, which used to be staples of relaxing. I got engaged last year to the most incredible man, and we're marrying in 2010.
