Need to keep Motivated

Hi, My name is Mel Burton. I live in Iowa and I am 29 years old. I have a Wonderful husband of 7 years(together 12) and a 4 year old beautiful daughter. I have struggled with my weight and blood pressure ever since the 7th grade. I am wanting to get back down to my college weight(that I thought at the time was to big) but would love to have back now. I am at 210 lbs and would love to get to 145 at least. =o) Good luck everyone!! I know I will need it.

Hi Mel, you will do it. Small baby steps is the best way. Back last January i weighed 231 lbs I started back to martial arts at the age of 39 and got down to 191lbs, got a bit stuck of late with my diet so joined spark, so glad I did. Just keep going and good luck with your goals. emoticon

Hi there, I started 5 pounds heavier than you in Jan 2010 and last year took off 30 pounds. This year I am planning on the other 30. I am also older than you and will be happy at 155. I know we can do it. Remember, nothing tastes as good as being thin feels. Now good luck, take one day at a time and do your very best! You have already taken the most important first step! emoticon
