Yikes! I saw your status update and I went and read up a little on the diet! It will feel overwhelming thinking of what you can't eat or drink and learning a whole new way of eating, but focus on what you CAN have! I found a nice blog of someone who has this same allergy/intolerance. She has a great list of things you can have. Hang in there! Once it's a habit in your life it will get much easier!
