Road to New ME
Being a senior with a sedatary work enviorement, I decided since I am approaching my 61st birthday, that it is time to make a change!!! Being a senior with a sedatary work enviorement, I decided since I am approaching my 61st birthday, that it is time to make a change!!! Last year in March I went through some health issues that left me where I could barely walk. My legs felt like they were glued to the floor and I couldn't pick them up. I only went trail riding a few times last year, but in January of this year, I decieded to make some changes. Nope not going to diet again! This is a change in life style!!! I make sure my pets and horses get the best quality of food and care, so why am I dening myself this same quality of health. I am making a lot of short term reachable goals, so I can see results quickly. Because my horses are my favorite past time, one of my goals is to be able to get on my horse without the help of a stool or log. LOL yes, it's not your typical type goal, but that is mine. I have been using Sparks people since Jan. 2012 and found the support and tools I need to make these life style changes.

My Goals:
My challenge for myself is to learn to control portions. I also need to learn to control emotional eating. I became a widow in 2006 and find it difficult to get motivated. March of last year was a difficult month cause all of a sudden I could barely walk. I realized that if I want to have the kind of active lifestyle I crave so much, then I need to get off my duff and do something about it.
My Program:
My goal is to lose at least 10 lbs by my next birthday - Feb. 4th. I have only been a member for one week but I have tracked my food and water. I have started the excersie slowly, but I am planning on increasing. I am hoping by being public and with the help of my Sparks Friends I can keep my self motivated on a new lifestyle - not a diet - for the rest of my life.
