Just realizing I am not 20 anymore! Go figure. Haha, just trying to get control of the few things I have control over. Want my "only had one kid" body back....the "has had 3 kids" body is getting me down!
WELL that was before! And I got to my goal, and actually lost 26 pounds...just in time to get sick, be elected to a school board, and have my grandmother move near by for extra care...by me...
SOOOOO needless to say, my goal that I found, seems to have gotten lost again in the stress of life. (Or maybe I should say that the pounds I lost got found!) So Here I am to start again! I am glad that I am trying to start before I let it go too far...I am hoping to find time to do this online, because it really did work for me before.
I guess we all have set backs now and again.
To be as healthy as I can be to help control my mixed connective tissue disease..which I have Lupus and Sjogrens primarily, but they are still looking. But MOSTLY to be a role model to my 3 kids, especially my girls. I have gone from 160 to 214 to 155 and back up to 190 during my various pregnancies and moves. When I am 155 I am about as thin as I get with out looking unhealthy. That is ultimately where I would like to end up. being 35 now though, I would be happy and pleased to stay around 160. (I have always weighed so heavy even when I am small..weird)
Try to keep running, I did my first 5k last year, and want to do it again and perhaps a 10K someday...a real wish of mine is to do a sprint triathlon before I am 40...just to cross the finish line.
I am trying to up my cardio to 4- 5 times a week as well as adding weight lifting 2 -3 times a week, but right now only managing 2
I am an outside gal. I love a good adventure, but with 3 young kids, I don't have a whole lot adventures that don't lead to the grocery store these days! lol. I am a camper, Hiker and traveler (when possible) I love to learn to do things myself, and sometimes I think that I was misplaced from the prarie days lol. I love to Garden, (I used to teach Ag. and construction) I love to do anything with my hands, sewing, knitting, cooking, building, what have you. And I always have room for a good book to take me on the adventures I can't get on right now! I am a die hard second generation Hokie and big College football fan. Go Hokies!

hi - i'm a fellow "hokie girl" and stumbled across your page in the hokie alum forum. 1st, congrats on meeting your 154 goal! 2nd, i see that you have mixed connective tissue disease - my mom does as well. i'm amazed that you're as active and healthy as you are with this condition! granted, my mom is a good bit older than you are, but she hardly gets out of bed and is constantly fatigued. you must have amazing drive to get out there and run! i will be doing my first 5k august 8th. knowing you were able to do it with mctd, i won't have any excuses not to do it!
