I am not someone who's ever had to lose weight. In fact, I'm one of those people you might think obnoxious because I've almost always been underweight.
This site has given me some tools/skills I didn't even know I was missing.
I know the saying is supposed to be "ignorance is bliss", but ultimately, I've been better off and have a much healthier attitude towards food and fitness. So, there you have it. There's my testimonial. Cheers, big ears.

My Goals:
I want to be as healthy as is in my control and do it on terms I can feel good about.

My Program:
I run 5-7 miles 3-4 times a week, a total of 20-25 miles per week, and cross train on the elliptical (& strength train) 3 other days. Being active is my therapeutic. It makes my brain happy.

Personal Information:
I'm super short. I grew up in Texas (dfw metroplex), went to school in Chicago at the School of the Art Institute, started this program while living in Toronto, Ontario (canada), but moved back to the states about a year ago. I love to travel to any place any chance I can get. No kids (knock on wood it stays that way!), just a couple of dogs - one little cur and one lovely little, safety-conscious, fluffy white beast.
I have one of those husband things. He is my best friend and a big part of the inspiration for me wanting to stay healthy. I owe it to him to not be too much of a burden when we grow old.
What else...? Right. I'm a painter by day, bartender by night.

Other Information:
Favorite Books: The Man Who Ate Everything, by Jeffrey Steingarten... ALL of David Sedaris'' literature, and, Alice Munroe has become my new favourite author these days.

Emily Yoffe is the author of Slate.com ''s Dear Prudence advice column, and she''s also the Human Guinea Pig. Definitely worth checking out!

Movies: The Big Lebowski, Roman Holiday, High Noon, Napoleon Dynomite, Office Space

Music:
Bonnie Prince Billy, Cat Power, Elliot Smith, The Smiths, Elvis, Elvis Costello, Jenny Lewis, Holly GoLightly. Billy Childish, Wreckless Eric, Patti Smith, your mom (no not really..ok, really)
