I have always struggled with my weight. This time I want more than just a diet that will get me in my skinny clothes for a while. I want a fit lifestyle.

Update 05/16/10:

I never thought that I would actually follow through with the statement above. I'm sure at the moment that I wrote it I hoped to do it, had intentions of doing it, but somewhere inside didn't really believe it was possible for me. But I took the three little starter goals and ran with them...from there I learned how to use the nutrition and fitness tracker. I made friends and joined Spark Teams. I made more goals and really focused on the fitness and activity aspect of the program and low and behold, I am having fun, enjoying testing my limits, striving for goals I never would have thought possible, and a the pleasant side effect of all of this is that I have lost weight and my clothes are loose. But, most importantly, I have more self esteem and confidence in EVERY aspect of my life now. It is a beautiful thing :)


I have held on to a lot of the ideals that I have picked up in my SparkJourney and also let a few slip away. I am back today, determined to pick those pieces back up before I lose any more ground.

It is hard to admit that you have back-tracked into old habits that were detrimental to your success. It's difficult to admit it to yourself and to others. I've found that some habits are so deeply engrained that it's foolish to tell yourself that you are rid of them forever. It takes diligence and persistance to overcome them for a lifetime.

All I want is to be the best me I can be. Sparkpeople is an essential tool for me in staying true to myself and being the best friend, coach, and cheerleader in my own life...and being able to bring that attitude and outlook to everything I do.

My Goals:
My goal is to develop healthy habits, a fit lifestyle, and more balance in my life.

My Program:
I am recording my calories daily, paying attention to the proportiong of carbs, protein, and fat I am eating. I am also doing cardio and strength training several times a week. Right now, I am trying to expand my horizons fitness-wise and set goals for myself I never would've thought possible before.

Personal Information:
I am 26 and from Mobile, Alabama. I have wonderful husband and 4 dogs all of whom drive me up the wall on occassion :P And I wouldn't trade them for the world. Career-wise, I am a Finacial Sales Rep for Hancock Bank, the best bank in the southeast!! I love my job and the wonderful ladies I work with :) I am really and truly grateful for the many blessings in my life.

Other Information:
I love to read and I love the beach...and I especially love to read at the beach!!
