New Mom-Losing weight for my son

I'm 27 and am tired of being overweight/obese. I have a son, Harper, who was born December 17, 2011, and is the light of my life. My husband and I made a pact that we will get healthy for our son so that we can keep up with him and live long healthy lives together. I don't want my weight holding me back anymore.

Congratulations!!!! Eating healthy and exercising is what we should all be doing. You have an even better reason for it than most of us right now, though!

@DarkThor: I'm doing ok. Currently sick, but I'm gradually feeling better. I'm currently 7 weeks & 5 days pregnant, so I'm not trying to lose weight at the moment. I'm just trying to eat healthy and exercise as often as possible. The doctor told me not to gain over 15 pounds throughout the pregnancy, and I've already gained 5.4.

I was just reading your blog and wanted to stop in and say you can do it! I also have some weddings, events, and a family reunion this summer that I want to loose weight before so I can feel and look great. I am starting a walking program tomorrow that I found on this site!
