How the in the hell did I gain 100 pounds!!

Ten years ago I was athletic and active. Twenty years ago I was a high school jock. Thirty years ago I was a tall skinny adolescent…. I was all legs and towered above the other kids and even some teachers!

What happened to me!! Where am I and who is this fat old lady???!!!

I guess time flies when you are lazy. Okay…. Okay….. I know…. No negative self talk. But come on, what else do you call it? Over the years I have become less active to the point that now it is actually difficult to do the things that were once so easy for me. That isn’t because I just magically got fat. I made a choice to eat more and do less. I made a choice to go out to eat because I didn’t feel like cooking. That’s LAZY.

Anyway…I am finished being lazy and so I am here for some help and some motivation!

My Goals:
My goal is go get back to about 150-160 pounds. I would like to be healthy and active again.


My Program:
I am not on any commercial diet plan…...just good old fashioned healthy meals, proper portions and an active lifestyle. I am working on eating a variety of fresh food and whole grains… cutting back on those processed convenience foods.



Personal Information:
I live in Southern California. I have two daughters and one step daughter. My oldest daughter has 1p36 Deletion Syndrome. (She is missing the end on her first chromosome) She is 21 years old but functions at about the 3-5 year old developmental level. The kids keep me very busy and at times very stressed.

I like all kinds of crafts. I taught myself to knit and to crochet. I tried my hand at scrap-booking a few times but it wasn't for me.
