My Goals:
1. Become more active, thus fit.
2. Use activity instead of food to calm and center myself in times of stress.
3. Keep hands (and mind) busy when I do sit, knitting, reading, etcetera.
4 Put the task of becoming a healthy weight behind me, once an for all!

My Program:
I am trying to become more active. Once I sits, I sits. That has to change. As I get in better physical shape, hopefully, I will be able to drop some of the many medications along with the many extra pounds I carry around!

Personal Information:
Originally from New England, married a long time (over 30 yrs), two grown children, one grandson, one granddog; MA from USF, a true Jack-of-all-Trades, I love sewing and quilting but have done many, many different things (roofing, social work, teaching, volunteering, housekeeping, painting-- all sorts of things). I try to enjoy those around me and life in general. Currently, I am facing a classic Boomer stage-- role reversal with a parent. I belive having family support and self-determination will help me take on this new role with grace.

Other Information:
I am well versed in all matter and form of diets... Weight Watchers (have my 50 lb pin!), TOPS, South Beach, e-diets; you name it! Joing with a friend (my daughter) will help me keep on track. Besides, a little friendly competition can be a good thing!

Hi nice to meet you. I'm Kimmy I just joined your Alzheimer's team. My Mother is suffering from Alzheimer's. She is still living on her own. I live 30 minutes away from her and I am the only one caring for her. It's getting pretty tough. I am very grateful to have found your team. With the newly added stress I have once again turned to food for comfort and have put on some lbs. Rat's!!!! I am the queen of Yo yo. Looking forward to getting to know you better. Thank you so much for writing in my inbox know it was awhile ago but just seems time gets away from me your letter had to do with TRUST and sure did appreciate your thoughts and ideas
We continue one day at a time
My DH is in the final stages and sometimes talks constantly unless I get him interested in something so a lot of my time is spent with him
Do now have a lady coming in one day a weekfor 1-2 hours so I get some time to myself and then our children and grands come and am trusting them more and more as they can see I am tired
Hoping you are doing well am behind in updates
You are in thoughts and prayers

Thanks for your kind words on my blog about my me....if I could get my mom to go on anti-anxiety meds, I would. We have had many conversations about that. She absolutely refuses. I can't force we just have to let it be.
