One of my tattoos. I got this in memory of my baby boy Ronan.

Jim Butcher was one of my favorite authors. Until he wrote Changes and pissed me off!

Me with a coho I caught on Lake Michigan. This was my last fishing trip with my dad.

Medic in Charge

Ummm... My name is Kele. I've been a paramedic for 16 years and I am starting school this summer with hopes of going to nursing school next year. I am married to an awesome guy and have 3 fat and lazy cats (ok for them, not ok for me!). I am a huge geek and love sci-fi and role-playing games and other weird stuff. If you want to know more, ask!

My Goals:
I am trying to get healthier. I would like to lose weight, but that is not a priority. I now weigh about 230#. Right now, I am trying to get down to 200#. Eventually, I would like to be down to about 160#. Baby steps, though.

My Program:
Typical stuff... watch what I eat (and not just as it's going into my mouth). Exercise more. I'm going to try to get to the gym 2-3 times a week, and spend at least 15 minutes with my Wii Fit on the days I don't make it to the gym.

Personal Information:
My name is Kele. I live in Griffith, IN. I am a paramedic for Superior Ambulance Service and I am starting back to college this summer at Ivy Tech. Eventually, I will be a nurse and make more money and not have to lift really heavy people up flights of stairs.

Other Information:

emoticon Welcome to Spark!
I've been here since Nov. 9, 2009 and have really learned a lot about myself, food, and exercising. I truly feel joining Spark was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
One of the best tools is the nutrition tracker. You will be shocked when you enter a typical day's food! Try to track everything you eat and stay within your limits. Donít panic if you slip - we all do! Just put it behind you, you canít change it, and move on. One of the main concepts at Spark is to take two steps forward for each step back!
The fitness tracker is also a great tool. You can track your steps, mileage, cardio exercise, and strength exercises. It will tell you how many calories you have burned.
Take time to make lots of Friends and tell them when you reach a goal or are having a hard time. They are here with praise and support all the time! Don't be afraid to ask any question, no matter how silly you think it is.
If you havenít set up a page, itís a good idea to do so. It makes it so much easier to communicate with your friends.
Take time to explore Spark. Read and respond to message boards, blogs, and other members' pages. The help, support, inspiration, motivation, encouragement, and friendship you will receive is awesome! The site can be confusing at times but just keep looking around. There is really a lot of valuable information here!
emoticon Feel free to contact me if I can help you in any way. Drop by my page to say hi.
Stay focused, determined, and positive - you will be successful!
Sheila
