I fight many health issues every day, however, I try to live a healthy lifestyle.
Balance/mobility problems, food allergies, chronic low- back pain, Fibromyalgia, and a history of eating disorders and body image issues, all make managing my weight very challenging.
I finally decided it is time to be healthy for me and not because health professionals and scales tell me I need too.
I often joke my body has a mind of its own.
I find Balance games on the Wii fit help me improve my core muscles and take control of my balance too!
I may not be where I want to be, but, I'm learning to celebrate where I am in my journey.
Overall, I want to be the best ME I can be.

Today, 4 months after my official start with Spark People, I am 40 pounds lighter.
I have daily goals in my weight - loss journey.
1. Eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day!
2. Drink 8 or more glasses of water a day.
3. Move my body every day!
4. Finding, and celebrating a victory everyday!
Even if I have a day when I have an off day with my plan, I track my food intake every day.
Right now, I am trying to be a mindful eater.
I've been fighting medical challenges for as long as I can remember.
I, too, have been fighting my weight and body image issues just as long.
now, I'm exploring and trying different ways to get fit and be healthy.
I love to laugh!!!!
I, now, have 2 cuddly, active, fun, and mischievous, ferrets. they put a smile on my face and a laugh in my heart everyday.
I have discovered Modified gentle yoga as a new way to stay fit!
