Hi my new spark friend Ann:) What a pleasant surprise seeing you pop up on my page. You are very welcome. I hope all goes well with the doc. 5 miles a day? Wow. You're my hero. You will get there again. I have been on the Sparkpeople's 5K Your Way Rookie Running team. I am taking it slowly, really slowly. lol I have a bunch of metal in my ankle from a slip and fall on the ice and it gets in the way sometimes. Swells and hurts. So I am still doing a walk/run, but am doing far better than in the beginning.
Finished up the LiveFit Challenge and am about to start another weight routine. Weights are like a meditation for me:) Like running was for you. It has been almost 4 months since starting SP. You can check out my first 3 months results on my last two blog entries. Love spark and am really into it now. Felt so strange in the beginning, but have met the most amazing and kind friends. I am here for you. Always jump on here. I need it. I tend to retreat and cycle through the ups and downs and this seems to keep me from getting overwhelmed and sinking back into myself:)
I'm here for you and excited to join you on this journey. We are so beating this!!! If you ever need a sounding board please pop by my page, feed or email. That's both the good and bad days. I still have some tough days, but am feeling way stronger. BTW...we are the same age:)
Hi Ann:) Saw your comment on Sparkguys feed. Sorry to hear you are having foot pain. I found that the right shoes helped me a ton. I just shared a link to some info for one of my spark friends that I shared on Rookie Running 5K page. I was amazed at the difference it made with my feet. I am REALLY hard on my feet when I jog. You can hear me from a mile away. I used to have pain in my feet and knees and found the right shoe. I went to a running shoe store and the guys found the perfect shoe for me.
