My Goals:
I'm working on maintaining a balance in my life so that my emotions don't get the best of me. For now I'm working on getting back down to a weight I was 3 months ago. I'm up 15 +/- lbs right now.

Feb 1st goal:
153 lbs
CW 157 1/11/08

My Program:
I've started the first 2 weeks of the South Beach Diet system to give myself a kick start of motivation and after a week I've lost 7 lbs of mostly 'carb retention'.

I go to the gym at least 4 days a week via 20 min bike ride (1 way). I spend about an hour there doing strength training and 20 mins cardio. Then I ride the 20 mins home. 2- 3 times a week I speed walk with a friend around the neighborhood.

I'm also working on drinking a lot more water and little diet soda.

My name is Meaghen and I'm originally from Montana. I've recently moved back to Portland, OR which was my home for 8 years before my 4 +/- years in East Asia.



Other Information:
I get such a motivational rush by checking out fellow "sparklers' " weight loss graphs. You all are SO doin it and vicariously it is helpng me. Thanks

Hey Meaghen and Welcome to our team! Just make yourself at home! You can join in on any thread you like or you can create your own thread , name it after yourself and use it as a daily journal. We are a very supportive , encouraging and motivating group. I wish you the best on your goals! We just started a challenge this week you are more than welcomed to join. It changes weekly and I started it of very simple. You can also adjust it to your own fitness level if you are interested you can check it out!
