10 december 2010 - changes happening SLOWLY but SURELY





My lowest point 85 kg and very unhappy ... that was feb 2010 ... I didnt get on to weight loss etc until september .. i concentrated on meditation and that led me into it .. I am also straightening my teeth and growing my hair out to its natural colour ....

Total Life Change!

Hi .. thanx for stopping by!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive been going through a life changing time since Mar 2010 ... I was very sick when I started, not very happy, very lonely and felt very stuck.

I started meditating seriously and this taught me a lot of discipline and motivation and shifted my mood .. I then got into tracking weight and exercising.

Id always been a healthy eater and exerciser but never really tracked, had goals, and written things down ... Spark ...

I started meditating seriously and this taught me a lot of discipline and motivation and shifted my mood .. I then got into tracking weight and exercising.

Id always been a healthy eater and exerciser but never really tracked, had goals, and written things down ... Spark has helped a lot. Im not always on Spark but Itry and come back here regularly and that keeps me going .....

Ive also been doing other stuff including trying to restore my hairs condition, straightening my teeth and practising facial exercising for one year ...

My other big focus in on the inside, trying to be more goal centred and self confident but more importantly trying to embrace and allow WHATEVER it is I FEEL at the time I feel it and let it be okay ..

This led in mid 2011 to me seeking some proper counselling and group work. Which led to more activities like creative dancing, socialising and basically having a really good time.

Ive found this helps weight loss so much.

It takes time to change yourself, your body, your feelings .. it isnt always joyful or you feel you are getting somewhere .. the facial exercising is changing my face slowly but its slow .. and so is INVISALIGN straightening my teeth ......yet when you look back over time its SO REWARDING to watch yourself improve ....

Its really all about redefining yourself. Becoming the person you want to be. I needed to be alone to get to that point, away from other peoples ideas of who I was.

The end of 2011 will be pretty much 2 years on this journey. I hope to finally reach goal and then I hope to fulfill a dream of travelling around the world!!!!!

My Goals:
FIVE GOALS!!!!

1. Weight goal = 63 kilos which I think is a little light for my frame .. I am 5 ft 7'5 inches .... but its a personal goal for me ...

2. Create habit of snacking ... im a meal skipper ...

3. Improve appearance straightening my teeth, fixing my hair that was over bleached and brittle, picking up my face through facial exercises which sagged due to grief ...

4. Cutting out food intolerances in my diet that often lead to depression ...

5. Most importantly focusing on meditation and positive visualisation to make me a happier person!!!!

My Program:
Im not on a weight loss programme im on an unhappiness-loss programme ..... Im doing a change of my whole life .. it is slow change but I am making progress .... I am concentrating on keeping calories, fats and carbs to a minimum and eating high veg ... trying to cut out all toxins .. (only have coffee left to quit)

Personal Information:
I am australian but grew up travelling the world to 16 .. i live in melbourne mostly but at the moment have been living for one year in the blue mountains near sydney to concentrate on work projects and improving my health and life.

Other Information:
i am a musician and art therapist and very creative.

I have had a lot of misfortune in family and tragedy in my life which I think has led me to gain weight. I do not over eat too much but I have tended to eat a lot of vegetarian foods which I have discovered recently are actually VERY fattening.

In regards to my knees (and yours)... I DID have problems.. but I am flat-footed and I knew that with the amount of running I was doing I needed custom orthotics. I did get them and the knee pain stopped! I have had a little bit of a battle with the orthotics, due to heel spurs.. but I am chugging through!

Unhappiness loss program, I absolutely adore that! Thats what joining the spark was about for me really, as much as I do need to lose some weight, overall my goals are more about being happier with myself and my life, and trying to manage depression with diet and exercise rather than the handfuls of pills my doctor keeps trying to push at me. Your page is pretty inspirational and its nice to see someone else who is trying to change more than the jeans size they wear emoticon
