I strive every single day to live a healthy life!

I feel like I'm the luckiest person in the world.
I try to live every day in gratitude
for my life as it is TODAY,
right now,
in this very moment.
I'm retired at 61 and still paying my bills (barely).
I've been married forever (45 years!)
to the man of my dreams (most days),
my high school sweetheart.
My 3 children are all grown,
as happy and as healthy as I could make them.
I finally became a grammy in 2009!

5/16 -0 (after 2 weeks of increased calories)

update- it's Oct-2010- on a one year plateau but not giving up- never, ever, ever. Every month I try something new.

ANOTHER NEW update- after maintaining 168 for SO long,
my weight crept up 1-2 lbs a month since I developed hip bursitis and I am now (June 2011)
hovering around 180.
9/1/2012 update- STILL hovering around 180...
9/1/2013 ....still 181...
Will I give up?
NEVER!
AGAIN...12/2014 ...182-4 most days

Oh, dear...is it sciatic pain? (I don't know- should I hope not?)
Anti-inflammatories may not help that.
Do you have burst it's in that hip? (Don't know what burst is)
Can you lay on your side and press in spots around your hip and find a spot that really causes pain? (Will need to try)

You gave me a lot of things to think about/try. Can't wait for appointment.

What a coincidence, Liz! And fun to hear that the place is swarming with Champlins. Jim is an odd one, for sure. What I didn't write about was how much Nancy griped about him. "Look at him. All he does is sit at the bar and read his newspaper all day." "They told me he had a girlfriend when I was back north, but she dumped him." What a hoot!

Looks like a great trip, Liz. I'm sure you will have a great time. I was in Prague, Vienna and Budapest last year with my friend Bev, and especially loved Budapest. People were so friendly, and proud of their country. If you get a chance, go to the big public baths there... we didn't get there, and it's my only regret.

Are you doing this completely on your own? You're really brave. I agree that in the major cities most people in hotels have some English; smaller places maybe different.

Schoenbrunn Palace in Vienna is spectacular, and I loved the Jewish stpynagogues and cemeteries in Prague. Watch out for pick-pockets around the Charles bridge, especially on week-ends.

My weight is definitely top heavy and mostly my mid-section but my boobs/back too lol... thus the larger 'top' size.

Hi Liz,
Thanks for commenting on my blog. We leave April 6 and cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to Vancouver via Caribbean and the Panama Canal with stops in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Mexico (3), San Diego and Victoria. We come back from Vancouver by train (5 days).

How about you... Where are you going?
