Current Goal: GET BACK ON TRACK!

My name is Christina. I am 24 and I've been struggling most of my life with weight.

Even though I am in the military, I still struggle. But my deployment to Iraq has opened my eyes to more than just job or culture wise, but fitness and nutrition. I am anxious to get home to begin my "clean slate". I want to cook everything at home from scratch and create a relaxing workout enviornment in the house.

I have sub-clinical hypothyroidism, but I don't want to use this as an excuse. I am in the beginning stages of my treatment for it and once I get to a healthy point, I want to be able to maintain it.

Now that I'm settled after my deployment and enjoying some time with family, I will come up with a routine and I will post it here for me to remember. =)

I love to read, sew, cross stitch, play video games, cosplay, hike, work out with my husband.

::Enthusiastic wave:: What's up giirrrl ?? I'm glad things have been going really well for you ! It's good to hear all the good news ! I was starting to think I wouldn't hear from you again ! lol I am damn proud of myself because I've never been this size before and I can't wait to watch my body transform even more now that the holidays are OVER ! YES! Well..I guess we have the "dreaded" Holiday of Chocolate coming up (Valentine's lol), but other than that we're good! Yea, I'm definitely hard on myself but not as much as I used to. Being hard on yourself only makes it more of a "struggle" the best way is to recognize your misstep, learn from it and move on. This lifestyle change thing is tough :P Oh man I SO don't envy you ! (when it comes to morning drills in the cold). I've gotta say though, I'm handling this winter MUCH better than last,lol, but I'm still a chicken sh**.
I'm in need of a routine makeover cause mine is TIRED. I think that's why I fell off the wagon with it. I got bored. So I bought that new Tae Bo DVD and I like it but it's and hour and a half long so...I need some variety. And speaking of which I just lucked out yesterday and bought a magazine (which i never do cause its just a waste of money) but I saw Jillian Michaels on the cover of SELF and had to get it,lol. And when I say I lucked out, I mean it. In the issue she outlines 3 different workout routines (cardio and toning) and a huge menu of healthy foods. And right now I just want someone else to tell me what to do and I do it, I'm so tired of decisions,lol. I hope you do check out those classes ! And if you do go for Zumba let me know how it was ! I'm SSOO anxious to try it out...why must everything cost $ ??? lol We have the Kinect for the Xbox so I guess that's my Wii, I can't wait to get some of the fitness games :D
So i guess the routine I'm going to start doing is this:
5 cardio sessions a week- Ultimate Tae Bo, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, running
2-3 Toning or lifting sessions a week - No More Trouble Zones, Jackie Warner's Total Body Circuit, Yoga, etc
If I don't make a schedule I'll never stick to it,lol So I've been thinking of typing one up and posting it in my bedroom so I always have access to it.
Oh heck yea I'm on FB - Ill look for you !

Hooray ! You're back !!!I figured it was a "life got in the way" thing. I've been falling off the bandwagon a bit here during the holidays myself, but I accept that,lol. Wow! I'm definitely glad you're with a different doctor now...why on Earth did he take you off in the first place...? I'm sorry it feels like you're starting from day 1 all over again, but I'm sure you'll catch up to me in no time ! I just realized I've been on the site for about 6 months and have only lost about 20 lbs. I really thought I'd have dropped 30 by now at least, but I'm still working hard so it's still worth it :D I don't know if I was running before you had all this craziness going on, but I run now :D But of course I started running RIGHT before it got cold as hell and now I can't go outside to run anymore :( I don't know how others can stand to run in this weather,lol. I hope the holidays treated you well and you got all kinds of goodies and made more happy memories :D So have you started a work out routine yet ? Hope to hear from you soon :D
