Taking care of myself at 40 something! ;)

Instead of writing how much I am down I am going to go into this with a new beginning. A new start!! My goal? To take care of ME! To execise more and watch my food!My short term goal? ONE step at a time. I AM WORTH IT! :)

I have ignored this page for years! I am embarrassed to admit it. But last night I was laying in bed and knew I needed some moral support out there. I came back ! That means something !! I came back!

I have ignored this page for years! I am embarrassed to admit it. But last night I was laying in bed and knew I needed some moral support out there. I came back ! That means something !! I came back!

I have also added a new passion and love. Having Asthmatic Bronchitis has made it almost impossible for me to get outside and jog/run. Since I posted about my treadmill I have now ran in 3 5K's, and I consider Dirty Dash a 5K. My goal in 2014 is to run 5K's every other month and continue to commit to that.

Since the last time I was on here we have added 2 grandson's to our life. Miles was born on July 5th, and Braedon was born on September 18th. Life has blessed us beyond anything we have ever expected. I also became engaged to be married to my best friend this past March. We are planning a 1920's themed wedding. All Bobby has asked is that we get married in our own home, so we are on the search to purchase our first home together.

Cancer also hit our family for the first time ever. My sister went in for an emergency Appendectomy, and left with Ovarian and Uterine Cancer. (Ovarian cancer is silent, so when it whispers: LISTEN). She is a survivor, but has recently been diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome. We take things one day at a time. God will only give us what we can handle.

So in a nutshell, I AM BACK! I have 25 lbs to lose, and I am making a resolution to get back here daily!

Reading history books has become even more of a passion! The Tudor era especially.
Both kids have left the nest and Bobby and I are finding out way in life with no children.

Thank you for your comments on my blog! I'm super excited to get my iPod. I've missed having one. Hopefully it will give my workouts some extra spunk.

Hope you're having a great Saturday!

Thanks for your encouragement! I haven't started the zumba video yet. I just got my 2 year old granddaughter to bed finally. So im going to have a cup of tea then I will start on the video. I already walked this morning for about a mile.... around and around my house! lol I was going to go out for a walk but my granddaughter some how missed her diaper and wet her jeans so I couldn't do that.

Okay I am SO GLAD to hear that I am not the only one that has to eat every 2-3 hours. Generally I eat every 3. Sometimes I can make it 4, and sometimes not even 3, but I aim for 3. I'm definitely gonna be keeping some protein bars or something in my purse from now on!
