I am updating my page as we moved from upstate NY to Tucson AZ. I am still unpacking and have yet to start back up finding a fitness center or exploring the facilities were we are renting. I will miss my team mates and friends in NYState. The information that follows was where I was and the wonderful support group that I left. I am competing as a team member with a great group of women. Our program is called Dare to Lose! There are some similarities to the biggest loser. We meet twice a week for 1 1/2 hours with our trainers, have challenges and weigh ins and are responsible for watching our food intake and exercising at least 2 more times a week. Each session is 8 weeks long so there is a mix of newcomers and those who have participated in earlier sessions. There is a lot of positive support from both the participants, trainers and other fitness center members. We are working hard at getting fit and losing weight.

My goals are to be as healthy and fit as I can be at whatever weight I am at and at whatever age I am. Functionality and being able to do for myself and maintain my independence is important.

I and my husband and cats have recently moved from the Finger Lakes region of NY to Tucson AZ. I am currently unpacking and getting all the services up and running
getting of the midred things done that are required when you move.

Other Information:
Some of my interests include photography, painting, reading, bird watching,& gardening.

    yes emoticon just a lot of wind and rain - stayed in my bubble ... it went all around me - bright cool sunny morning .. and plants are very happy .. swept some leaves and sticks off porch .. prayers for those as it goes north - seems to be a lot of damage happening ..

    Creamed Cukes? Well, you slice cukes and an onion and I soak them in salt water for an hour or so, drain and add Miracle Whip, sugar, vinegar, and a little milk and pepper, to taste, and let set until meal time and then enjoy. Pretty close to the same ingred. as for Cold Slaw. I really can really over eat on them. If cukes are real big I just cut in half, scrape out seeds, and then make slices.

    Thank you for your support on my blog about my 20% body weight loss. emoticon

    I am a little worried about not tracking, so I will continue daily weigh ins to make sure I don't go into a gaining mode. I know a few members that are working on intuitive eating, so I want to look into that as well.
