Hi, I'm Eileen a 50 year old mom of two great girls and wife of a saint. I work 50+ hours a week at a stressful job. I love to get out on the trails near our house, entertain friends at the house, and to knit, read and CROSSFIT.
I don’t want to die early of
heart disease or diabetes
I want to be a good role model for my girls
I want to look good in my jeans, not like an old lady
I want to be in control my eating, not have it control me
I want to feel great and sleep well
I am currently doing a whole life challenge (1/15 thru 3/15), cutting refined carbs, alcohol, cheese, etc. I feel great and plan to continue eating this way after the challenge, with some minor add back ins.
I am doing cross fit 3 or 4 times per week. I love my crossfit. I also do a dumbbell wod once per week in a city park. I feel a lot stronger and generally a lot younger in my body
I have followed the Beck Diet Solution in the past. She really helped me to realize that my thoughts about food weren't normal or healthy. Also weight watchers but I don't think that is good enough either.
I knit, read, garden, cook, make cheese, and run here in the Pacific Northwest. I live in a smallish town with my husband, two teen girls, a brown dog, a black dog, a turkey, and a flock of chickens.
