My name is Melissa. I am trying to lose weight for what seems like forever now. I have a two year old daughter. I did well with my pregnancy as far as weight goes and lost what I gained after. However, since she was 6 months old I've been dealing with medical issues that have kept me side-lined from exercising many days and on medications that help me retain salt and therefore some weight. I'm done with ALL the excuses and want my health back. Losing weight won't cure my condition but it will help me feel better. I finally have my husband on board with me this time and I think that will help.

Starting Weight (this time): 183.5
Week 1: 177.5 -6 lbs
Week 2: 175.5 -2 lbs
Week 3: 173 -2.5 lbs
Week 4: 169 -4 lbs

14.5 pounds down and 7 inches gone in 1 month

Week 5: 168.5 -.5 lb
Week 6: 168 -.5 lb
Week 7: 167 -1 lb
Week 8: 163 -4 lbs

20.5 pounds down and 13 inches gone in 2 months

Week 9: 162 -1 lb
Week 10: 160.5 -1.5 lbs
Week 11: 159 -1.5 lbs
Week 12: 160 +1 lb UGH!!!

23.5 pounds down and 18 inches gone in 3 months

Week 13: 157.5 -2.5 lbs

My initial goal of getting to 140-145 pounds by my birthday came today 1/1/11 and I did not reach it. However, I am in a much better place than I was 20 weeks ago. I am 27 pounds lighter and down from a size 14 to 8. Now I am starting my FINAL push to my goal weight. I will reach this goal by April 1, 2011! In order to do this I am going back to journaling my food each day, eating clean and getting in 30-60 minutes of exercise each and every day.

Week 21: 156 - 0 lbs
Week 22: 155.5 - .5 lb
Week 23: No Weigh In
Week 24: 155 - .5 lb
Week 25: 156 + 1 lb
Week 26: No Weigh In
Week 27: 158 + 2 lbs

6 weeks left and 13-18 pounds I still want to lose. I haven't been on track after dislocating my knee cap in week 23. Done with excuses. Going to try for at least 10 pounds in the next 6 weeks. I will be in the 140s by April 1, 2011 and set my next goal from there.

My Goals:
My goal is to be within a healthy weight range. I want to lose weight to help with my health problems. I want to be a healthy role model for my daughter.

I WILL lose 40 pounds by my birthday, January 1st. - Not met, but did lose 27.5

New Goal is to get to 140-145 pounds by 4/1/11


My Program:
I am eating between 1400-1600 calories and drinking at least 80 ounces of water each day. I am focusing on eating as clean as possible.

I am doing some sort of exercise for at least 30-60 min each day. I ride our stationary bike for at least 50 miles each week and use our exercise videos daily.

I am also honestly journaling everything that I put into my body and my exercise sessions.
