Losing the baby weight!!!

Desperately in need of an update here! I've been on Spark since 2009 and went from 148 lb. to 112 lb. at my lowest. Although 112 was a bit too low for me, I did find a happy weight somewhere around 117. Most importantly, my dietary choices were the healthiest they had ever been and I was very disciplined about working out 4-5 times a week. Most importantly, my dietary choices were the healthiest they had ever been and I was very disciplined about working out 4-5 times a week. I got in the best shape of my life and maintained for a couple of years! My weight started to creep up a bit after my wedding in 2011, but still was ok at around 124-ish and I maintained that until my husband and I decided to start a family in 2013. I had my precious baby girl, Margot Ruby on Feb. 5, 2014 and gained a total of 30 lb. during pregnancy. I am now down to 140lb. and would like to still lose 22 more to get back to my happy weight! I am exclusively breastfeeding, which burns around 500 calories a day (woo hoo!) Because of this, you'll notice my calories are higher than they used to be to lose the weight (great of course to eat more, but nursing makes me sooo hungry!) I am still trying to get back into my exercise routine before I head back to work in April. I am getting in some walks twice a week or so, but at 6 weeks postpartum and feeling great, its time to ramp it up!!

Some things I still struggle with mostly stem from my obsessive tendencies-anxiety over bad food choices, occasional binging, etc. My biggest food weaknesses are probably peanut butter, cereal & ice cream! I do well with structure, so i really like the calorie and exercise logs. They help to keep me accountable & honest. I LOVE sparkpeople & the tools its provided me with to lose the weight once--and I know I can do it again and truly 'have it all!!'

Hey there! Thanks for your comment on my page, it's good to hear from you again. It's very comforting to see that I still have some of the same sparkfriends on here as when I joined. Congrats on the new baby! Wow, you must have your hands full being a new mom! In my new home renting my sis' basement, I have two young nieces and they are definitely a handful but I love them so much. :) I wouldn't fret over your mommy-weight too much, it is a natural thing that when you have babies you gain weight and then it takes awhile to lose that weight afterwards. I think you're doing great so far, just keep at it and you'll lose it! =)

As for me, I'm doing fairly good, I was up as high as 130 again...but I've steadily been losing two pounds per week and I'm at 115.2 now.,,ten pounds to go....since I am so short....the weight is very noticable.......My most major trouble spots are my thighs and love handles...they're awful...can't wait to get rid of 'em! I'm hoping that if I can continue to work hard, I'll have reached my goal for summer so I can step out and feel good in a bikini for once....that's my goal since I don't have very high self esteem I wouldn't be caught dead in a bikini at this point. The more I work on it the better I feel so I plan to just keep going strong until I lose the weight no matter what...Once I hit my goal weight I will adjust to maintain and plan to continue to be active on sparkpeople since logging the calories daily really helps me a lot to keep on track and I don't want to end up gaining back all the weight again like I did last time...I wanna lose it and keep it off for good this time!

Heya! Very Long time no see, lol! I've returned to sparkpeople because I am determined to get fit again...the past two years have been utter chaos and I gained back almost all the weight I lost as well and I've read on your page that it seems you've had a few set-backs too. Hopefully we can help each other get back into killer shape! If we did it once, we can do it again!

Your page, progress and pics are just so motivating!! I'm just about the same height as you are and my ultimate goal is to be the same weight as you are now (oh well, that's ages away for me now, but stilL!)
