I am not lost, I am exploring

I reached my goal of completing 4 HMs in 2014! Wow, did that look daunting before I ran my first one in March! Now I plan to repeat in 2015!

Running is a passion for me now. I began road running, at age 52, in March of 2013, after walking for 2 years. I say I am running from Dementia, since I am leading a healthier lifestyle to prevent the onset of Alz. Rigorous activity is a deterrent to the onset of dementia. I care for my mother with Alzheimer's, who inspires me every day. ...

My Goals:
I reached my 30 lb loss on Sept 6, 2013 after 9 months of fitness, running, and dietary modifications. Now in maintenance, I strive to become more fit with a regular commitment to HIIT and cardio, and continued training in running and races.

My Program:
Keep on Running from dementia!

Perseverance and the desire to maintain the healthy change.

Personal Information:
I started my running career at age 52. Your never too old to start.

I am training for my 3rd year of racing. I am thinking 6 HMs in 2015 starting with the Chicago Get Lucky HM on March 14th.

Other Information:
Lucky mother of 4 kids, 3 dogs, 1 hubby, and MIL.

Hello,

I was looking at the Chi Running team that you are a member of & was wondering what you think of Chi Running. I noted that there is a one-day workshop coming to this area in June *It's a couple hundred dollars but I'm wondering if it might be worth the time and investment.

I will going to Graduate school in the Fall and really need running to get me through it. The stress and the amount of being sedentary necessary to get through my studies worries me.

Would appreciate your opinion.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I love Eatingwell and usually make at least one recipe a week from there.

I just posted a cookbook recommendation for The Indian Slow Cooker - if you like spicy foods, it has a lot of great veggie dishes. I've tried a few already - so, so good. And relatively easy for Indian cuisine.

Thanks for the goodie. It was relaxing and the boat ride and fresh air helped a lot in clearing my mind. I am gearing up for my aunts funeral and then going through my son's things next weekend. You are doing fantastic on ur running!! Love it!!!!!
