Healthy Momma

Hi, thanks for visiting my page. I stumbled upon Sparkpeople a little over 6 months ago and it has made an amazing difference in my life. It is so nice to have a community of like-minded people to share inspiration and support. I love working out and eating healthy, but I fall off of the wagon frequently.

My goals for 2009 are:

MIND:

*Read a book monthly to help me grow as a person.
~January Book - 7 Habits of Highly Effective People - Stephen Covey.
~Currently too busy with my class to read, will pick this up this summer.

*Find a hobby and stick to it for a year to see how I can progress!
~Signed up for a photography class - starts 1/21/09.
~January - will crochet a simple blanket (after I finish my sewing project from Christmas!! I know, I know! Sewing is not going to be one of my new hobbies!)
~February - finished up my photography class. Would like to sign up for a Photoshop class next.

*Prepare a monthly budget--and STICK to it!
~Not doing so well in this area - January no budget - bad girl!!
~February budget - Done!
~March - Done!

*To not live in fear or play the "what if" game...just go & do
~January - still working on this one.
~February - feeling a little better, but still a work in progress.
~March - beginning of March - feeling really good!!

*Workout 5 days a week following The New Rules for Lifting for Women. Strength train 3x a week and 2 days mixing it up with Turbo Jam, walking, running, Yoga, Pilates, etc.

March 2009 - starting 30 Day Shred 30 (3x/wk) If I can stick to it and complete 30 days, I will reward myself with Chalene Extreme!

*Workout in the early AM before I can make any excuses to not work out.
~January - still working on this one.
~February - still working on this one.
~March - starting out with a bang!

*Drink 8 glasses of water daily.
~March - starting to slack a little here. Will work on getting it back up to 8.

*Eat 5 servings of fruits and veggies daily.
~Jan-Feb - averaged 3 servings a day.

Hi girl,
it's been a while since I said Hello! How are you doing? Running any 5Ks? Did you start the lifting for women workout?
I've been on and off my routine.. The bulking thing didn't really work for me.. so now I'm back to being under Jillian's thumb on my tv *lol*
