It's true! Life really does begin at forty (or 45 or 48 depending).

Life in Italy is wonderful, and with Spark's help I'm aiming to make the rest of my life healthy and happy.

Spark has taught me to think about what I put in my body.

It's given me the tools to tone and strengthen my muscles: I look better today than I did 10 years ago!

Best of all, it's introduced me to so many wonderful, motivating people.

I love Sparkpeople!!

Wow, ox tail!!! Impressive! I have not attempted anything very tricky so far, but it sounds interesting.

Gros Cidac is my absolute favorite Italian grocery store (after Eataly which doesn't really count because they have everything!). I lived near Pila the first couple months I was here so I had time to really look around at Cidac and they have some wonderful things. Many things are local, made in the valley, and very fresh. I love the yogurt from Courmayeur that they sell. Yum! They have wonderful ham and salami that are better than anything I can find around here. We also like their fresh pastas-very fresh and good! All of this said, they still don't sell sour cream. I have searched high and low in the surrounding area and have not found it yet. Hopefully I will though. Are there any foods that you miss from South Africa? I would love to know the difference in the cuisine from here and there. Do you have Italian roots?

Hope you are having a happy week! Smiles from Strambino,

Rachel
